MARIAH SHAMY

Mariah Shamy is a Chinese adopted, American artist from Columbus, Ohio. Graduating from Columbus College of Art & Design in Illustration with honors, Mariah creates paintings that draw from the tension that comes from being adopted and finding your place between two cultures.

  On the other hand, Mariah's illustrations take a more graphic approach to her artistic process. Heavily inspired by Japanese graphic design, culture, and aesthetics, Mariah's illustrations focus on creating humorous and unexpected situations to engage the viewer in an unusual story.
